Chapter 42

Since the day she fell off the cliff and became a vampire who had to live in the dark and survive on blood, she has learned that being kind will never get her anywhere.
She had to kill others in order to survive; it was difficult and painful at first, and it made her wretch, but she could only turn into ashes if she didn't feed herself. She didn't want to die when she was given a second chance. She was even merciful enough to leave them with their bodies intact and didn't pursue Isabelle or her daughter.
Weren't they supposed to express their appreciation? Vanity felt so wronged to be cast as the villain in this entire scenario. She simply defended herself and did not say anything else. How justifiable were her actions?
"What have you done to my daughter, you scumbag?"
Isabelle yelled at her, her face flushed with rage, "I didn't even do anything to her, so don't worry."
All you have to do is answer a few questions, and I'll tell you everything." Vanity spoke earnestly, assuring everyone that she had nothing to do with Gwen's death.
Who told her she should fall in love with such a vile man?
"Fine, go ahead," Isabelle said. She knew she wouldn't get anything from this murderer unless she gave her what she wanted. After all, there is a principle known as "give and take." Before receiving something, one should learn to give something out.
"It's good that we're on the same page now," Vanity said sinisterly as she wiped her hands again.
Vanity immediately began questioning the older woman for an hour before she was satisfied. She felt lighthearted after receiving all of the answers she required, as if the burden that had been bothering her had finally been lifted.
"I guess you really need that information," Vanity said slowly, her gaze fixed on Isabelle's horrifying expression.
This was actually very good; as long as you find someone's Achilles heel, everything else will go off without a hitch. When she was attacked twice, these people did the same thing to her.

"Thank you for being cooperative, as for your daughter's whereabouts……."

When Vanity left Nolan and Gwen that night, she had no idea Nolan would be so insane as to hide away with Gwen so that they wouldn't find her. Clara, who was so madly in love with Nolan that she couldn't tell what was left or right, was the mastermind behind the escape.
When Nolan lost everything he had worked for simply because of a woman who didn't bring him much benefit, he became so enraged that he not only broke her legs but sold her to an underground brothel to have her serve men while he receives money as his compensation.
Nolan, who was used to having money and having people worship him, was stranded. The person he most wanted to rely on simply vanished, taking everything he desired with him.
Yes, Clara betrayed him and stole all of his hidden assets. He had trusted her with everything, and she had betrayed him. When Vanity heard this, she praised Clara for being such a kind soul. If it had been her, she would not only have taken the assets, but she would have killed the other person for abusing her.
In the months since Isabelle attempted to exact revenge on Vanity but was caught with the crime of drug hoarding with the intent to sell, her daughter Gwen had had enough and committed suicide by biting her tongue.
That attempt was not the first, but it was one of the most successful.
Nolan, on the other hand, was pursued by his enemies and died in excruciating pain. In other words, everyone who knew anything about Vanity had died and gone. Even if Isabelle ranted, no one would believe her because her identity was solid proof and she had the Wagner to back her up.
Vanity was unconcerned about the white-faced Isabelle, who had been taken aback by the news. She said her goodbyes to the other woman because her husband was waiting for her.
Isabelle didn't even notice Vanity leave because the words "suicide" kept repeating in her head. "Hahahaha this is karma, hahaha," Isabelle burst out laughing as tears streamed down her cheeks.
Everyone else had left, leaving her alone. This is not what she expected. She yearned for them terribly.
A few weeks after Vanity's visit, Isabelle's cold body was discovered in her solitary cell, where she had been staying for two days after hitting the doctor, who told her she was dying of a sexually transmitted disease and there was no hope.
She had never cheated on her husband before, which meant that he was the source of her problems. The thought that he had done this to her was so upsetting that she vented on the wrong person.
Isabelle was placed in solitary confinement, where she reflected on her life and remembered what Vanity had told her. Since it was confirmed that she was dying, she might as well commit suicide rather than wait for some disease to kill her.
She made a long cloth out of the bed sheet and used it to hang herself in the cell. The woman was dead and gone by the time the guards arrived to serve her breakfast. Her only request was that her body be cremated and her ashes be scattered because she wanted to be free. She didn't want to be buried next to the man who had killed her family.
And if there is another life, she vowed not to meet that man again, and if they did, she would make him pay for everything he did in this life.
When Vanity learned of Isabelle's death, she simply dismissed it as another piece of passing news because it didn't concern her at all. Instead of moaning about trivial matters, she went on a date with her husband and fed a large number of people dog food.
Who hasn't heard of this famous housewife? A wife who was not only young and beautiful, but so spoiled and pampered that all the ladies envied her and some even despised her that they couldn't help but hire a water army to splash dirty mud on her name, despite the fact that there were others who genuinely loved her.
