1715words
If the host had known how many guests were really coming to the party uninvited, maybe they would have taken further steps and tried to make it the best party of the year.
Everything was beautifully organized and nothing seemed out of place, the evening sky gave the gold lighting an ethereal glow, crystal chandeliers hanging around the room, most of the guest were arriving, their shoes clicking on the marble floor, the reporters doing their thing and the camera was flashing light as different people parked their cars at the parking lot.
An Armored Rolls Royce Cullinan halted at the parking lot and everyone waited for the power couple to step on the entrance tunnel, they already knew who should be expected.
Bodyguards rushed to open the door and both Oliver and Heather stepped down from the car, they moved to stand beside each other, Oliver was dressed in a white tie tuxedo and Heather wore a white tea-length evening dress with gold trimmings, the paparazzi turned their attention on them and Heather swelled in the attention she got from them, she waved and Oliver smiled while the other members of the High Society stared at the couple as they posed for the camera.
Another car halted at the spot the couple parked their car before it was driven away, the door opened and Melissa stepped out of her Rolls Royce Phantom, everyone stared at the queen in surprise, Melissa rarely goes to most parties without announcing it to the world.
The most shocking thing was that she was wearing the same dress as Melissa and damn it if she didn't looked hotter than Heather, she went to stand beside Heather, smiling at her and nodding as if they were still the good friends they were three years ago, even though everyone knew that they weren't on friendly terms.
'Wow, you are wearing matching clothes?" A reporter asked, eager to fish for information and Melissa nodded, a polite smile on her face, she was really enjoying the look on Heather's face and she looked like she would cause a tantrum anytime soon but her fiancé looked like he could care less about what is happening to her, he was talking to some interviewers at the side.
Melissa flipped her hair stylishly before opening her mouth to talk.
'Yeah, we love it and I like to keep it real," Melissa said and Heather scoffed in disbelief, she tried to walk away but Melissa stopped her, a smile on her face but it was much of a smirk to Heather.
She knew what she was doing, Melissa was brewing up rumors, and there is probably a lot of news circulating the net about who wore the real dress made by the designer.
'Smile Heather, you don't want them to think that you drank some expired milk, do you?" Melissa asked her quietly and they both turned to face the press with big smiles on their faces.
'Why did you come to this award in the first place?" Heather asked with gritted teeth, while still smiling, waving and posing for the paparazzi.
'To come and watch you get the award you don't deserve," Melissa said, smiling as if they were having a very nice conversation with each other.
'Don't you have better things to do? Like making sure that your company doesn't run down, with the mess that Alexander caused you, I didn't think that you would be here smiling and waving like it is your birthday,"
'The company won't run down simply because I am absent for a day, but then again you won't know that because you never had to work hard for a change, everyone know how bad you were when you are still working as a secretary, it was only dumb Sapphire that didn't think that you had a scheme you are planning,"
'I would leave you to the press, you said you had something to say to them about Sapphire," Melissa said, loudly and walked away, the paparazzi turned to Heather with a curious look on their faces.

The emcee was on the stage, talking charismatically and trying to make everything lively. It was working with most of the guests that were mingling while sipping champagne but Melissa and Oliver were staring at the empty seats that were among the VIP row occasionally.
Melissa was having a bad feeling about the empty seats, those who got those seats must be rich and extremely rich if they got to come to the gala this late.
The emcee was doing what they have always done since the award began and Melissa just stared on bored out of her mind, she was waiting for a chance to meet who she really came to the party for.
Oliver called to the stage and with applause, he went to stand on the sleek podium that stands at the center and the large screen behind him displayed his pictures in vibrant colors.
Just as the emcee was about to speak, there was a noise coming from the outer part of the ballroom, probably the entrance tunnel and it seemed to be coming from the reporters, normally by this time, they would be focused on the stage, trying to capture every moment but they seemed to care less about what is going on on the stage.
Heather was also curious about what was going on and couldn't help but turn to take a look, her eyes widened in surprise when she saw those two kids who insulted her twice enter the room, they were looking at everything in the ballroom with a judgemental expression, next to a man she was sure that she had never laid her eyes on, they were dressed in expensive clothes, she is sure that her dress as the rude girl's dress must worth the same value if they check it.
Next came Alyssa, Royce and Alicia, Alicia was walking beside them while Royce took the responsibility of helping Alyssa on the wheels, they looked classic and really stood out among the crowd.
Luci and Claire entered next, both of them wore cocktail dress and even though they look nothing alike, they were in sync, Heather turned to stare at Oliver with an ‘ I told you so' look but the man only looked away from his fiance, his eyes met Luci's and the woman smiled at him, raising her hand to give him a thumbs up and he forced a smile back.
'It seems like your man is having second thoughts about you," Claire said and Luci glared at her.
'My man, your ass," she replied in distaste and Claire chuckled.
'Can someone tell the damn paparazzi to turn to stop flashing their light on my face, someone is going to get blind right here," Andrea complained loudly, an irritated look on her face.
'You deal with it," Zayn said and Andrea rolled her eyes at the man.
Melissa scoffed when she saw all of them, just what is Sapphire planning? She had all the members of her new family come to the gala in order to watch the friend who tried to ruin her get an award, Melissa highly doubts that.
Alexander and Sapphire came in last, their hands were linked and Sapphire held on to him like she would fall of she was released but she might because those heels of her are very high, she was wearing a red floor length gown, her hair was clipped, beautiful necklace adorned her hairs and earrings that shimmered in the light, she is beautiful.
Melissa looked at Alexander and was reminded of the reason why she chose Alexander that day at the breakfast, slick hair, expensive suit and graceful stance, nothing was out of place.
'Dad, tell the damn paparazzi to stop flashing their lights on my face, maybe to someone who loves it, like that woman?" Andrea yelled pointing to Heather and Heather scoffed when the girl smirked.
The emcee that was on the stage thanked Alexander and his family for honoring the party with their presence, he talked about how he had been shocked when he saw them because he wasn't really expecting his unknown guest to be them.
'Why the hell is this shit so boring? Don't tell me that we have to attend this nonsense every year," Andrea asked and Claire shook her head at her.
'What do you think about it?" She asked Andrew.
'It is the people that are here that are boring, being in such a small distance from the first witch," he said and pointed to Heather. 'and the second witch," he pointed to Melissa. 'makes me dizzy," he completed, which made both Melissa and Heather glared at him.
'Let me use this moment as an opportunity to display all the achievements of Mr. Oliver Gray who had been getting this award for the past three years, it is truly applause worthy," The emcee said and moved away from the stage.
The words on the screen moved to display another picture of Oliver and Heather, their names written in bold letters.
Everyone was staring at the screen with utmost attention and was confused when it suddenly turned dark.
And like a switch was flipped, it turned to display a bright blue color and in beautiful letters, ‘THE TRUTH ABOUT SAPPHIRE ALDINE STRIP NIGHT' was written on it.
Everyone was confused about what was going on and there was an uproar among the guests, the paparazzi started clicking their cameras and jotting down things while Oliver's who was back to the screen was still smiling while Heather started with a confused look.
'Hello to everyone watching," A voice said from the projector and Oliver whipped his head to stare at the familiar voice, his eyes narrowed when he saw the doctor on the screen. 'I am Doctor Mike, a doctor who Mr. Gray employed to drug Ms. Sapphire three years ago."
