Sapphire quickly hugged when she got to where was while tears fell from her face in relief, her daughter was safe and sound, she was not injured in any way.
'Baby," She whispered and Andrea opened her eyes when she heard the words, her lips curved into a smile when she was her mother in front of her, she was bending down too.
'Mom," Andrea said and Sapphire nodded.
The men were still shooting and while she was now anxious to know if the men -especially Alexander - were okay now that she confirmed that her daughter is safe, she still stayed there with Andrea, hugging her to herself.
'Are you alright?" She asked and Andrea nodded. 'Did they hurt you?" She asked and the girl shook her head, Sapphire nodded in understanding.
'Wait a bit. They will be done soon, we can home in a bit," Sapphire said and it was Andrea's turn to nod in understanding.
Sapphire's eyes flickered to her hand that covered her ears, there was a cut there and she was bleeding.
'What happened to your hand?" She said, staring at it, not daring to tell her to remove her hand from her ears.
'It is all right mom, just a cut I got when that stupid woman pushed me away because of the spider," Andrea said with a smile still on her lips.
'Was there really a spider?" Sapphire asked and she shook her head.
'No, there wasn't. I just screamed at the spider to distract her, it would be some sort of confirmation of your words. I just tried it hoping that she would let me go, who knew that it would work?" Andrea said and Sapphire smiled at her smartness.
'How did you manage to think of leaving the hints on the book? I almost didn't catch that, if I hadn't remembered that you said that you would definitely do that trick one day, the trick of making me look for something in a picture of you but it is actually in the book where you are writing," Sapphire said and Andrea giggled.
Sapphire was engaging her in a conversation in order to disconnect her from the violence that was going on around her.
They had had a series of episodes like this at Gisborne when the gangster they helped had something against themselves and had a full out brawl or where they were attacked by a gang for helping their rival and the rival comes to their rescue, there are endless situations that it can't all be listed.
Hanna and her mother were brought the idea of knowing some self-defense, which many gangs were more than happy to teach them. Hanna was also the one that gave them the technique the kids use.
If it had been Andrew that was here instead of Andrea, he would have done what the girl did.
Hide somewhere, bend down, close your eyes, recite a rhyme and cover your ears. It was simple but it took a lot of practice to make it effective. If an adult happens to be nearby, distract them with words.
They had such a life in Gisborne so it made them fearless and quick to think.
'How did you even get the book and pen?"
'That Shei woman thought that kidnapping me then trying to be nice to me is a good idea to make me like her. So I pretended to like her and called her ‘mother'" she said and her mouth curled up in disgust. 'Bleh, even though that sounds so disgusting, I want to vomit." She added.
Andrea believes that addressing one's mom as mother is a formal and unfriendly term that strict women make their children call them and use to form a barrier between them and their kids.
'And said that I had to do my assignments, I pretended and told them that I have some OCD with assignments, I had to pretend to be restless and loud in order to make them believe me, can you imagine that? Well, I managed to make them believe me and they made me do my assignment because what harm could that cause? So I started my mission right then and there and wrote in scattered words what I saw when they brought me here. I prayed with all my heart that you would come with them," she explained and Sapphire nodded, ruffling her hair with her hand.
'Right, that is my smart daughter. I love you too," Sapphire said and at that moment the firing ceased, there wasn't any sound for a bit before she heard Alexander's voice.
'Sapphire! Where are you?" She heard and smiled at Andrea.
'It is alright now, Andrea. It has ended, the bad guys are out." Sapphire told her and Andrea removed her hand from her ears, her hair and cheeks were stained with the blood that was from the cut on her hand, Sapphire checked her hand and saw that there were any other scratches that would need to be disinfected. 'Let's go, sweetheart," She told her and Andrea nodded, holding her hand in hers as they stood up from where they bent down.
'We are right here! Safe and Sound! We would be there in a minute," She said out loud as they tried to make their way out of where they were. All the crates had fallen over and they were well hidden, they tried to move it out of the way and make their way out, but they were too heavy. Sapphire was about reaching out for help when the crates were being moved, the men from Zayn's side were helping them.
'Dad!" Andrea screamed in excitement when she saw Alexander in the distance and started running towards him. There were many injured and dead bodies on the floor but she wasn't bothered. 'Oops," was the only thing she said when she hit their body with her leg while she was running. Alexander was surprised, amused and a little bit worried about her reaction while Nate and Zayn just kept staring at her with wide eyes like she sprouted horn.
'Dad! I missed you a lot! God, I missed you!" She jumped to hug him and he carried her from the ground, his hands wrapped around her legs and his hands wrapped around his neck, burying her head in his shoulder.
'I missed you too, darling," he said and giggled, nodding her head in approval.
Sapphire's eyes ran across the room and she shook her head at the mess, the whole place was turned upside down, bodies littered the room, blood splattered the whole place and it looked like something out straight out of an action movie, their clothes were torn and some had even removed their jacket, there was blood all over the and they looked dirty and sweaty, their hairs slicking on their forehead.
Both Sheila and Sebastian was nowhere to be found and Oliver was tied to a chair, her hands behind his back, his clothes were tattered and there were bruise all over his face, his eyes and lips were swollen and cuts all over his body but he was unconscious, a car just arrived to pick all the injured men to the hospital, it was mostly Sebastian's men that were dead, some were injured too though while Zayn's suffered major injuries, Zayn think it would be a good idea to take all the injured men to the hospital and make Sebastian men spill the beans when they are conscious. It won't be hard since their master abandoned them.
'Where is Sebastian and Sheila?" Sapphire asked.
'Fortunately, Sheila isn't as much of a strong and smart woman as you are, so she proved to be major distraction to Sebastian, the man couldn't leave her when things got out of their control because the man might have some sort of feelings for her or something, so the man chose hoes before bros and escaped through that escape door that we didn't knew existed," Zayn explained and Sapphire scoffed while nodding, she gestured to Oliver who was still unconscious.
'What about Oliver, why wasn't he able to follow them?" Sapphire asked.
'It seems like Sebastian wasn't back to help Oliver in the first place but to put him in some trouble because Sheila asked him to. It seems like she wanted to get revenge on her asshole brother for all the shit he had done to her so far, so they pushed him away and shut the door right in his face with smiles on their faces," Nate was the one that answered.
'I think it is time to wake up our friend right here," Alexander said, still hugging Andrea to himself firmly and both Zayn and Nate nodded, Zayn turned to his men and nod once at them, they nodded, bowed and turned to go out before returning with bucket of water, they walked to Oliver and dumped the water on is head making him splutter awake.
