Chapter 67

  Mark POV

My arms were folded against my chest as I leaned against my car in the parking garage. The tapping sound of my index finger against my elbow alongside with the tapping sound of my feet against the hard concrete floor could be heard as I waited impatiently for my baby to show up.

  "Let me go you bullies!"

Grunting and trashing sounds could be heard followed by a colorful sense of vocabulary that my baby was screaming at the two grown men that were carrying her towards me.

The two security men were each on her side. Hooking their arms under her armpits, hoisting her up mid-air so that even her legs were dangling around. My eyebrows were raised, amused at the view of the defeated expression that was plastered on April's face, but I also couldn't help but growl slightly at the same time seeing the men touching mine woman.

Hearing the deep throaty sound and seeing the threatening glare from me the two security guard instantly lowered April down. They both bowed their head apologetic as they eyed at me nervously.

April caressed her arms with a frown on her face and would wince whenever her hand would glide over a certain spot. I grimaced and shot a murderous glint at the two men, contemplating whether I should kill them now or later for bruising my little kitten.

"Mark." A voice etched with nervousness and worry called out to me. I glanced downwards at April who slightly shook her head, watching me cautiously as if she knew what I was thinking.

Hmm…she should really understand by now that I don't like seeing her defending other men. It only manages to quicken my raging blood, but I guess that I can hold of my killing spree until after my baby has fallen asleep. Today is a special day after all. We shouldn't start our first day cohabiting with bloodied hands.

Clearing my throat, I let my killing intent go and shifted my attention back to my small ball of fury. My eye twitched when I saw April's small palm still resting on top of her bruised arm.

  'I will kill them slowly.'

Smiling I opened the door of the passenger seat, gesturing for her to get in.

She crossed her arms in front of her chest, huffing as she gave me this (cute) defiant look. "I still have to get some stuff from my house."

"My secretary already brought all your necessities to our house."

Her frown deepened not liking the sound of me referring to her new place as 'our' house, but the slight red hue that stained her cheeks as I said that only managed to make her look cute and made me want to embrace and kiss her.

"So how about you get in and we can quickly go home." My voice came out gruffer than I expected as I desired to be alone with my kitten.

She glared at me silently for what felt like hours but eventually went inside the car. I blinked continuously, stupefied at how she easily complied with me without giving me her doses of foul words, but I didn't complain and quickly closed the door.

I nodded with a blank expression at the two security guards, giving them the sign to buzz off. They complied and left to go back to their post, not knowing that today would be their last work day.

Without wasting anymore precious time I jumped in the driver seat and started to drive off, but not before throwing a stealthy glance at my kitten who hasn't as much hissed at me. I couldn't help but narrow my eyes suspiciously at her finding her silent behavior odd, wondering if she again is coming up with a plan to run away from me again.

I shrugged and focused my eyes back on the road.

'Well whatever plan she may come up with I'll be there to counterattack it.'
