Sapphire walked to where the members of her team were standing, they had asked her a lot of questions when she came to work the next day after the drink incident and she had confirmed that indeed Alexander is her husband but told them that she wants them to keep it a secret.
Katie had stopped behaving bitchily to her as soon as she saw that she had no interest whatsoever in Jace, the man also backed down when she had a frank conversation with him but he wanted them to be friends so that was why he had her hand around her shoulder as soon as he sighted her.
'Wow, someone looks so pretty today," Candy said, staring at Sapphire who was cladded in a cute black dinner gown and medium sized heels from head to toe, with a spark in her eyes.
She looked beautiful in the suit she wore, her seven inch heel highlighting her long legs.
'What do you expect from someone whose husband owns a McLaren?" Craig said, his hand buried in his pants and Sapphire fought the urge to roll her eyes, this man would practically faint if he came to their house and saw Alexander's collection of cars, she was just glad that none of them seems to know who he really is.
She still wonders who told Alexander that she was drunk at the club, he told her that he didn't have a bodyguard staring at her every movement.
'You should dress like this more often," Jace said to her with a smile and Sapphire shook her head.
'No, I won't," she replied, which made Katie groan.
'There she goes again, why can't you dress more fashionably? I am sure that your fiancé has enough money to buy a whole mall for you. Tell me, how did you guys meet?" Katie said and Sapphire pursed her lips, she haven't agreed on a story with Alexander.
'It was a one night stand that resulted in pregnancy," She replied briefly and they all stared at her with wide eyes.
'You have a kid?" Candy asked and Sapphire nodded.
'Two actually," Sapphire replied, raising two of her fingers.
'Oh my god, I wouldn't probably believe it if I heard it from someone else, I am still having a hard time believing you, you don't look like a mother at all," Katie said and Sapphire smiled, a waiter passed them with a tray and she dropped her glass of champagne on it.
She removed her phone from the purse that was hanging on her shoulder and showed them her kids picture.
'They are so cute," both Candy and Katie gushed at the same time which made Jace shake his head at their silliness.
'What are their names? Andrew and Andrea?" Jace asked and Sapphire nodded before staring at him in surprise.
'How did you know her kid's name? Don't tell me that you have been stalking her?" Craig said and Jace stared at him with disgust written all over his face.
'What the hell are you thinking? She mentioned the kid's name when her fiancé came to pick her but I guess that you were too busy drooling on his ‘McLaren'" Jace told him and Craig gave him the middle finger.
'It is quite shocking that Mr. Gray is the CEO of this company, I am still in shock," Belle who just joined them said and they nodded among themselves.
'It was a nice thought when we thought that he was an investor worried about the company, knowing that he is the CEO irks me the wrong way, I mean he made us work overtime and never compensated us even though he was in the company and heard all the complaints?" Katie said and Candy nodded.
'Maybe he is waiting for the launching which is today to announce it, we would be thanked too,"
'So it is him who put those dummies in their position while still smiling at us and telling us that we would get to where they are if we work diligently," Craig said, gesturing to the brainless people who Oliver put in high position, they were all sitting at the same table, they were high-class, so they can't get involved with the likes of them. 'Sorry Candy but I already hate ‘your' Mr. Gray,"
Sapphire had let Alyssa announce that she is the owner of the new cosmetic company in town and people had rushed to try out the company's product because Alyssa is a rich fashion tycoon who would give them the best of the best.
They could not be bothered about the product that a company with an unknown CEO is releasing, they began to use the fact that they don't know the CEO as an excuse and it had been just three days since Alyssa announcement.
This development made Oliver angry and he went to announce that he is the CEO of the company the previous night which made the attention that was diverted by Alyssa go back to Oliver, the reporters who wanted to be at the launching increased as well as the high profiles.
Oliver would probably be given the Best Gentleman award soon, it would be a smart move to be known as Oliver's friend, so the place is practically over crowded.
The news yielded good results among the masses but the employees as SJAY couldn't have been more annoyed at the two faced man, they kept quiet because the person that tried to protest about the matter got silenced.
So here they all are with fake smiles plastered on their faces and false compliments from their lips for their boss because they had to help him keep his image.
'I don't like ‘my' Mr. Gray a lot anymore too," Candy said with disappointment in her voice.
Everyone turned to face the stage when it was announced that Oliver was ready to give his speech, the man was dressed in immaculate two piece suit and had a broad smile on his face as he stared around, his eyes met Sapphire's for a second before he looked away.
'It is a pleasure to have you all use your presence to honor this event, I am very grateful about….." he started his speech but Sapphire already zoned out, she was using her eyes to search for Luci in the crowd, she only saw her sitting among the VIPs when the light was on her, Oliver must have thanked her for being a supporting ‘friend', Luci eyes found hers and she smiled at her.
'Did that hottie just smile at me?" Craig asked and Candy hit him on the back of his head.
'Stop day dreaming and wake up, if she was smiling at someone in this team, it would probably be Jace, and you don't look like the kind of person she would like at first sight," Belle told him. 'I won't,"
'Me neither," Candy added.
'Me too," Katie said and Craig scoffed at them.
'I can't believe this asshole didn't think of any of his employees," Jace said and Sapphire shrugged.
They all stood up and were on their way out when they heard someone call Sapphire's name.
'Well, if it isn't Sapphire in the flesh and blood?" Heather said with a smirk on her lips as she stared down at Sapphire.
'Do you know this witch too?" Candy asked.
