Chapter 87: Deranged & Alone

Three Years Ago

It has been two weeks, two weeks since she was bailed from the prison and sent to a rehabilitation center because she smokes and uses drugs and loves strip dancing, even though none of the things listed made any sense to her.

She sat at the window side, staring at the green field that is withering and she thinks that's her life.

She had accepted the fact that her fiance is someone who would love nothing more than ruining her, and her best friend is a schemer who just wanted the Gray title, couldn't she have gone for richer men? Oliver is definitely not the richest in the circle? But she could never know because all these while she only had eyes for him and now that he disappeared from her sight, she didn't know how to behave.

He was the one that matched her family and demanded that they put her in a rehabilitation center for the time being. Although he could never be with her anymore, he won't stop caring about her.

He said those words hand in hand with Heather, staring straight into her father's eyes while she stood at the side, with a blank expression, she didn't feel anything and the only thing stopping her from jumping down the bridge is her baby.

The door opened but she didn't bothered to turn, it was always one of the nurses with food in their hand, she was often caught talking to her baby but they of course think that she is crazy and talking to herself and the fact that she gets violent whenever they brought the idea of going outside to her doesn't help matters.

The timid expression she gets from the spineless nurses and the disgusted one she got from the strong one isn't what she wanted but she just wants to view and watch her life passing by while looking through the single frame that is the window.

Her family had really disowned her, it wasn't a show for the media, they really disowned her then sent her here, the last conversation she had with her mother in the private living room made her wonder why she ever stared at her with admiration in her eyes.

'Aren't you going to greet me?" She heard the familiar voice of her sister but didn't bother to turn, it was a waste to look at her.

'Since you won't stop being rude, I guess I shouldn't be nice two, get up, uncle said that your vacation is over," Melissa said and she just remained motionless.

He stopped her from contacting her grandmother, Emiliana was on a vacation, and because Vacation to her mean cutting herself from the rest of the world, the only way to contact her is use the table phone that is in her study, she won't have left that but her mother kept screaming in the woman's ear that emergency also means emergency and they can't have not being able to contact her.

She had sneaked into the study the day she came back from prison when she thought no one was looking and just when Madam Emiliana picked the phone, Uncle Felix snatched it from her and said some nonsense about the company and cut off the communication.

'You won't call the Matriarch and tell her to solve this for you, you sin, you should learn to accept punishment, you are disowned and instead of you trying to win back some grace, you wanted to use a shortcut?" He had said, glaring at her. 'Do anything out of place and I would make sure that I get rid of that fetus inside you," he threatened and her eyes widened in shock.

'Do you think that you are that special? You think that you could keep something from me? Your damn fiance is an idiot who wanted to get rid of his own kids but I am going to make you keep it, it would be useful in the future,"

'My kid is not just a bait thing,"

'That decision is not up to you, you are keeping that baby and that's that, now go to that room of yours and reflect on your actions,"

He had dismissed her and Oliver had arrived shortly after and he had consented to sending her to rehabilitation, for what reasons? She would never know.

And now her vacation is over, she had to carry her baggage and live with those who are her enemies, sound pretty dumb but there is nothing she could do, she spent her last dime on Oliver's company, the personal money she had were used up because his new company had an emergency and he promised to give it back to her later, and she is sure that later means later in life and that is if they ever had business together.

At the moment, she just wants peace.

She sat at the back seat while staring out through the windows, nothing interesting, everything was in a shade of black.

She had to raise her head and stared at Melissa with curious brows when she saw that the direction was different.

'Where are you going?"

'It's more of where ‘You' are going," Melissa said. 'Uncle decided that you are unworthy of staying at the mansion, he caught you trying to talk to Grandma, so because of that, you are staying at this place for the rest of your pathetic life."

Sapphire stared around and scoffed, this is the most rural neighborhood she had ever been, it looked run down and even Melissa had a disgusted expression when she saw the house.

'It is really befitting of you," she said with a nod, staring at Sapphire in disgust. 'Your damn things are in the back," she said and she turned her head to see her things all over the trunk, it was thrown around haphazardly.

Living alone is hard, it even gets harder when you are forced to move out of your house. Those who could smile about it are those who ran away from home, got bored staying in the same space as those who they left their home to and those who still had their parents' support.

She had been cut off from the family finances, she used to have to ask Melissa before she got money and now without any way of contacting anyone, she isn't sure that she could make it here.

Her room is a one room apartment with a tiny kitchen and bathroom that look like everything would fall apart any minute.

She couldn't even sell her clothes because no one wanted to talk to the deranged woman who had been on the t.v barely three weeks ago, the stigma was suffocating, no one bothered to ask her what was true or false, you would be whatever people call you, you are god if they call you one and you are shit if they say that's you.

She didn't mind the hunger and loneliness, nor the way she had to deal with multiple nightmares but she really minded the bad shape her kid may end up in, she only got her staying with her because of her luck.

She had tried to contact the Grays, they never liked her because they had someone they wanted Oliver to get married to but this matter involved the child which may be the heir to the Gray family, they wouldn't ignore it like that and just her luck, Melissa was the one that got the call and that was the day she knew that her fiance's family wanted

their son to get married to her sister, how comical, they should have just told her that.

She heard a knock on the door and stared at it in surprise, she had been here for just a week and she is sure that she had no friend and definitely no nice neighbors, she ignored it at first but it persisted, they were making a lot of noise so she had no choice than to get the door.

She opened it and before she could be surprised that her sister and her fiance's girlfriend were at the door, she heard more than saw the slap that landed on her face, her vision getting blurry for a moment and the first thing she missed over as she bent down was why there were so many men behind them and why they were holding baton and sticks.
