Chapter 99: The Grays

Oliver exhaled as soon as he parked his car in the garage, he took a moment to assemble his thoughts before getting down from the car.

He started walking to the entrance door. It is obvious that the Grays are trying too hard to fit the position of the most elegant family among the families of high society.

It has been barely two months since he came here and he felt like he was in an entire different house, the furniture and flowers have been changed, the big fountain that was in the middle of the house was changed to the latest model and the walls were repainted to look more beautiful, the fluorescent lights also enhanced it beauty.

He shook his head with a scoff, his mother really went over the top this time but that wasn't his main concern, he was more concerned about the fact that his grandfather asked him to come that evening.

He has asked him to come at eight a.m the day before but he canceled it because he had to go to a meeting of some sort which was apparently, more important than even the scandal he caused.

He had finished asking Heather questions and he had got the response he wanted. It was absolutely satisfying that her case didn't have a clause like Sapphire's did, but then again, Sapphire is a warrior while Heather wasn't.

That made him remember that he needs to address Sapphire's matter, the possibility that those kids are his never left his mind at any time.

Heather's would be a headache if it didn't go as smoothly as this just went.

His grandfather doesn't address family matters after it is past four in the afternoon, he claims that his brain would be resting then so it is a major concern he called him twenty minutes past six and told him to get to the mansion as soon as possible.

'Ollie!" Someone screamed his name happily and a smile appeared on his lips despite his troubles and thoughts.

'Cassie," he called the girl's name and carried her from the ground as soon as he hugged him. 'How are you?"

'I am good!" She replied, giggling and Oliver smiled at his four year old niece, she is the cutest little thing.

'Where's your mom?" He asked of his sister and the girl giggled.

'With Gramps!" She said and Oliver nodded heading to the study and Cassie started talking about how school was, adding his bits to the discussion but it was mostly led by her.

He opened the study and his grandfather was sitting behind his desk while his sister sat in the chair that was in front of him.

The old man raised her head from the document he was going through, he glanced at him and went back to reading his files.

'Hi grandfather," he greeted the short old man.

'Oliver," His sister greeted and he nodded.

'Hi Jamie," he replied and sat on the chair beside hers.

After many years of remodeling, the only thing that didn't change drastically is the man's study and it was simply because his grandfather didn't allow his mother to meddle in his business.

Cassie had stopped chatting as soon as they sat on the chair and found another source of interest.

'Grandfather called me here," he told Jamie when she raised a questioning brow at him.

'Yeaj, you really needed to come here, I wanted to ask you why on earth would you continue to date Heather all of these? This is the reason why I hate her and where was your brain when she manipulated you to do such things or were you the master mind? My source told me that it is Heather that is friends with Doctor Mike and not you," Jamie asked rapidly, not pausing to let him answer.

The old man cleared his throat and stared at Oliver in the eyes, Jamie shut her mouth which made Oliver exhale in relief.

'You are going to pass SJAY to Sapphire," he told him and Oliver scoffed.

'Did Alexander threaten you?" He asked.

'SJAY had made hardly any major profit since it was created, you used her ideas and got no other good idea since you exhausted the list of projects she kept at the company,"

'Every new company suffers loss when they are first created, it doesn't start thriving from day one," Oliver argued.

'And for three years, its progress kept dragging, is this another feature of a new company?" He asked but Oliver didn't answer him.

'The success and failure of the new cosmetics was because of her. She edited and adjusted the proposal, she came up with a better idea than the one the former person wants to present.

Then she convinced every single worker in your company with the exception of the dumb ones and convinced them to rebel against you within two months of working at SJAY.

It was fairly easy since you went on a spree and wanted to replace all the workers with those who could be of use to you even though they have zero brains," he added while Oliver just stared blankly.

'Why on earth would you to do something as risky as that?" Jame asked in disbelief, even though she is a doctor who isn't involved in the business world, that idea sounds dumb to her.

'He get nice connections and help from other wealthy people, they invest in SJAY while those rich kids get a fake working experience that looks legit, they would be said to have work at SJAY and that they were the one that brainstorm the idea of the cosmetics that Oliver predicted would be a success and would have been a success if Sapphire hadn't interfered."

'Now that you explain, I don't think that it is a dumb move anymore because it mostly favors Oliver, it favors the rich kids depending on their luck," Jamie added.

'Axel told me that the case would not skyrocket if we do that," Mr. Gray told his grandson but he only scoffed in response.

'So it was the grandfather? You know what grandfather? If the Aldines' are going to drag this to court then they should better do it soon because I am not going to hand anything over to Sapphire, I would be damned before I do that,"

'So you are stupid enough to assume that you would beat the Aldines in their own game, quit dreaming and wake up from your fantasy, a family like that of Aldines' won't take their matter to the court, they prefer to use the quickest way which is threat," his grandfather replied him.

'I am not transferring it to her,"

'Then I have no option than to let you choose, you only get one, SJAY or everything that relates you to Sparkle? You have to give up one," he told him strictly and Oliver scoffed in disbelief.

Oliver marched out of the study angrily, the old bastard had given him an ultimatum and he would be stupid if he chose SJAY, it was just that handing the company over to Sapphire irks him.

'Oliver, we need to talk," Jamie said behind him.

'I don't want to listen to the bullshits you have to say about Heather, keep it to yourself for the meantime, I know that you don't like her but let's postpone it to another day," he snapped at her which made her glare at him, glancing at the kid in his arm.

'Language Oliver! The kid is listening," she snapped back.

'It is okay mom, At school Andrea curses all the time and when I asked Andrew about it since she won't answer any of my questions, he told me that it was normal in their house," she informed her mother with a small giggle which made Jamie sigh heavily.

'You should stop hanging out with these kids," she told him and took her from Oliver.

'But they are cool, Andrea even gave me some gifts, she sent Andrew to gave it to me though,"

'They are not cool, they are uncultured, stop talking to them," Jamie disagreed, Oliver who was already walking away as soon as Jamie took Cassie stop when he fully processed their words and turned to them with interested eyes.

'Andrea and Andrew Aldine go to your school?" He asked in disbelief and Cassi nodded enthusiastically.

'Yeah, they are my friends!" She answered him and Oliver smirked, it seems like the day was not bad all through, he got some good luck at the end.
