'What the hell do you think you are doing?" Melissa yelled, blocking Sapphire's way in the lobby, anyone could see that she was so pissed off and looked ready to bite Sapphire's head off.

'Which part are you asking about? I did quite a lot of things today, as the new C.E.O, it is not like I am going to lounge around," Sapphire said. Two employees passed by and bowed to them, Sapphire smiled at them but Melissa glared at them as they made their ways out of their sight.

'What do you mean by canceling my salary? You expect me to work here without being paid?" She screamed at her and Sapphire didn't even flinch, but she was attracting a lot of attention with her antics, she looked like a mad woman in a suit.

'What are you talking about, Melissa?" Sapphire asked with furrowed brows and a confused look.

She knew what Melissa was trying to do and she was ready to step up to her class. She won't be able to paint her as the evil sister successfully.

'Don't talk shit! You know too damn well what I am talking about! Your first day in the company and what? You canceled my freaking salary? What the fuck are you up to?!" She continued screaming angrily, some employees were peeking and had their full attention on them, trying to get some gist to gossip about the letter.

Perfect! This is exactly what she needed. Melissa you brought this upon yourself.

'You are talking about this like you don't know anything about what I am doing. I didn't cancel out your salary, you are just going to have to endure it for like six months or a year at most," Sapphire explained leisurely and Melissa scoffed.

'Who asked you to do that?" Marylynne asked behind them, trying to catch her breath. It is obvious that she must have been following Melissa from where gods know where when her message got to her but it is obvious that her favorite daughter didn't want to wait for her.

'No one needs to ask me to do it before I do it. Here," Sapphire said and gave Marylynne the file she was holding. 'That is the name of all the employees Melissa managed to hold off their salaries and the amount of money she laundered from the company with evidence," She explained with a glare and some employees gasped in surprise. Marylynne's eyes were wide in shock when she saw the long list.

'What? What is this?" Marylynne asked in shock.

'So after all this, our Ms. Melissa is not trying to be the CEO because she is in love and dedicated to the company, you could have fooled me." Sapphire said with mocking eyes but that glare still remained.

'Mel . . .What the hell did you use all these funds for, the amount it comes to at the end is huge. If you took all these, it would have reflected somehow on you, you shouldn't have to stay here!" Marylynne said in exasperation but Melissa didn't reply, she just kept staring at Sapphire with clenched jaw, red eyes filled with hatred and anger, Sapphire's eyes also mirrored hers.

'Easy peasy!" She said mimicking the way her kids talk when they are up to no good. 'She invested in the wrong business and came back with nothing, our smart woman was scammed! Can you believe that? Extraordinary Melissa Conrad, the golden feather, most responsible and modest daughter of the Conrad household couldn't have enough sight to see that she is barking up the wrong tree!" Melissa exclaimed sarcastically and Marylynne whipped her head sideways to look at her but Melissa's eyes were fixed only on Sapphire, a thousand curses going on in her head and many other things she wished she could do to her.

'Now, the money she used to make all those investments was from loan sharks! She wasn't able to get her deal at the end of the day so she kept postponing payment until they couldn't bear it anymore, and you know what happens when you keep postponing a loan, it keeps rising and the sharks keep getting agitated. So the loan sharks attacked and threatened her, so she resorted to her last options, laundering and holding off salaries, she colluded with the financial team which I have now fired because they were irresponsible and dishonest, you are welcome.

So I am going to use her salary to sort out that problem, she would return the funds she used. Employees first and then the companies? Why? you ask. Because the employees come first before the companies, that's my theory though. I would have used your inheritance for it, even though it might not be enough, it would still do some things.

I can't ask for the money in her personal card because that's nearly nothing, I think only a few hundred are there." Sapphire said and stared pointedly at Melissa. 'Is that enough explanation or do you need more?" Sapphire asked and sauntered away when Melissa didn't say anything.

'I AM GOING TO FUCKING MURDER YOU SAPPHIRE! DAMN YOU FOR DOING THIS SHITS TO ME, I HOPE YOU FREAKING ROT IN HELL!" Melissa screamed in a very loud voice that made everyone flinch.

Marylynne jumped in fright and some employees said that Melissa is crazy, praising Sapphire for her good qualities and abilities to do the right thing.

Turning the tables on Melissa who marched away to her new office and started destroying things, every single employee that met her when she was coming knew to jump out of her way, she looked like the devil just teased her and gave her an ultimatum.

Marylynne's phone rang and jolted her out of her reverie, it was a message from Sapphire.

‘Remember to tell your daughter that she had exactly three days to refund all the things she destroyed back or she would be dead!'

That was her simple message and Marylynne massaged her temple as she felt a migraine brewing up in her head.

Her source of income has been canceled, Melissa won't be able to give her anything and Sapphire who has all the money is against her, it would be a disaster if her rank drops among her friends, she must find a way to do this right!

The Smiths stood in front of the tall, popular and fancy building that Miranda has a condo in, even though she shares it with her friend and the friend's kid. It is such an irony that she had been staying in this building all this while, they passed it almost every time but never once thought anything of it, even though the daughter they had been looking for over a decade is residing there.

Fiona could swear that she had had business to do here around for over a thousand times, the café opposite the building, the small library where she goes sometimes when she needed some books, the big restaurant beside it that she met clients alongside Jeremy or alone. The huge entertainment company she had been to a million times because she had some things to deliver or get from there. The endless places where she could have come and sight her but there wasn't even a coincidence.

How funny it was that the lady who they didn't do anything when Heather was destroying was the one that led them to her in order to avoid the woman's death. Karma is a bitch.

They made their way up the elevator, then to her door where her mother shakily pressed the doorbell, it is obvious that they were all nervous.

The door opened and it was Miranda whose head peeked out, they all stared at her with eyes wide in shock. They knew that she had always looked like Heather since they were born but looking exactly the same now is bizarre, even though they are sisters she looks like her carbon copy, she has the same eyes and hair color as her, the same stature, the same everything. Ms. Smith was sure that if they stood beside each other now, she wouldn't be able to tell who from who.

A very unfriendly emotion and confusion flickered in her eyes as she stared at them and Fiona wondered what that was all about.

'Sorry, I thought it was that darn couple that kept saying that they are sure that their son is in here with me," she explained with a smile, she must have said Fiona's eyes. 'How can I help you all?"
